LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Wildlife officials say they will be using helicopters throughout southeast Wyoming in the coming weeks in an effort to collect information on big game populations.

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department says flights will take place in various locations between Wheatland and Saratoga. A helicopter will also be used to recapture moose in the Snowy Range as part of an ongoing University of Wyoming research project.

Depending on the weather, the flights could continue through December.
