GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) - About 30 people gathered for a weekend rally in Greenville in support of Syrian refugees.

The Greenville News reports (https://goo.gl/7DDWZo ) that the group that gathered downtown on Saturday included Muslims, veterans and pastors.

Clemson graduate student Will McCorkle said he organized the rally to fight anti-immigrant rhetoric.

Others at the rally included members of Veterans for Peace, the Upstate Peace Network and Unitarian and Methodist churches.
