MIAMI (AP) - A Miami-Dade appeals court has ruled in favor of a debt collector despite his use of foul language.

The Miami Herald (https://hrld.us/1PeB157 ) reports that that the appeals court ruled a local roofer did not violate the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act by using foul language while telling a client to pay a delinquent bill.

The man’s attorney told the newspaper that his client’s language may not have been nice, but it wasn’t illegal. The court agreed.
