SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - A 21-year-old man was critically injured after colliding with a driver going the wrong way on a Salt Lake City freeway.

KUTV reports (https://bit.ly/1QT2ISL) the collision happened early Sunday morning on I-80.

The Utah Highway Patrol says 34-year-old Eliza Vanorman is accused of driving westbound in the eastbound lanes before crashing head-on into a Dodge Van.

UHP officials say the driver of the Dodge, 21-year-old Christopher Sideris, was transported to a hospital in critical condition.

Sideris was not wearing a seat belt.

Vanorman was hospitalized in fair condition. She has since been arrested for driving under the influence.

It was not immediately known if she had an attorney.
