NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) - A man riding a moped in North Las Vegas has died after he was struck by another vehicle.

North Las Vegas police say the collision happened Saturday night as the 24-year-old moped driver was traveling south on Las Vegas Boulevard near Hamilton.

Police spokesman Aaron Patty says the driver of the vehicle, 35-year-old David Coleman, fled the scene.

However, a neighboring agency located and arrested Coleman.

Patty says speed and alcohol were likely factors.

Coleman has been booked on several counts - including driving under the influence resulting in death and leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.

The crash is still under investigation.

The Clark County coroner’s office will release the victim’s name and cause of death.

It was not known Sunday if Coleman had an attorney.
