COPPER MOUNTAIN, Colo. (AP) - Colorado skiers are getting warnings left on their parked cars about slick tires as part of a campaign to reduce accidents on mountain highways.

The warnings are being issued after the state passed a new law requiring snow tires or chains while driving in the mountains when roads are icy and dangerous.

The warnings are being left by the Colorado Department of Transportation and supporters of the new law.

According to KUSA-TV (https://tinyurl.com/pw85x6p ), skiers at Copper Mountain and other resorts are being told about the law and even offered discounts on new tires.
