NEW CASTLE, Pa. (AP) - Authorities say a small plane crashed and flipped over at a western Pennsylvania airport.

It happened at about 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the New Castle Municipal Airport.

The Federal Aviation Administration says the Piper PA-23 veered off the runway, struck a ditch and flipped onto the grass. It’s unclear if the pilot was injured.

The FAA is investigating the crash.
