TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - The Florida Highway Patrol says two people died in a crash on Interstate 75 near Tampa.

According to an accident report, the 37-year-old driver of a Toyota Corolla was driving north on I-75 Sunday evening when he abruptly turned left, crossed the highway and hit another northbound vehicle.

The car then crossed the road again, overturned along the shoulder of the road and hit several trees. The driver and the 46-year-old passenger died at the scene.

Troopers say the second vehicle also hit a tree but the driver and passenger sustained minor injuries.
