NEW YORK (AP) - Authorities say a 93-year-old woman has died after an early morning blaze in Brooklyn.

The NYPD says the fire broke out just after 1:30 a.m. Tuesday. Authorities say the FDNY removed the victim from the second floor of the home.

The woman was transported to Lutheran Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. No other injuries were reported.

Authorities didn’t immediately identify the woman.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
