LAUREL, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police say two men were killed and a third man was injured in a two-car crash in Laurel.

It happened about 10:15 a.m. Wednesday on U.S. 13, troopers said in a news release. Police say 31-year-old Nour-Eddine Baassiri of Salisbury, Maryland, was traveling north when his Ford Taurus drove onto the grass median and into the southbound lanes.

Authorities say Baassiri’s car was hit by a Scion.

Troopers say a passenger in Baassiri’s car was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Scion was taken to a local hospital, where police say he died. Neither man was identified, pending notification of relatives.

Baassiri was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash is under investigation.
