CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) - Authorities in eastern Iowa have rescued four people after their all-terrain vehicle got stuck in a creek.

The Cedar Rapids Fire Department says it launched inflatable boats Wednesday to rescue the four people stuck on the sandbar of a creek.

The four people were not hurt. The ATV was left behind due to high water levels and a strong current in the creek. Authorities plan to use heavy equipment to bring the vehicle to the shoreline.

A road near the creek was briefly closed during the rescue.
