WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - New Castle County Police are investigating two robberies of delivery drivers.

The first robbery occurred about 7 p.m. Tuesday in Claymont. A driver was returning to his car after making a delivery on Naamans Drive when two men, one with a handgun, confronted him at his car, according to a news release.

Authorities say the driver gave the robbers cash and his cellphone. The suspects than fled on foot.

Police said a second robbery took place about 9 p.m. Tuesday in Wilmington. Authorities say the driver was leaving a building after making a delivery when two men approached him from behind.

Officers say the men demanded cash and the driver gave them money. The men fled in an older Ford Escort.
