WARREN, Mass. (AP) - A Warren man is facing charges after police say they found more than 100 unlicensed and unsecured guns in his home.

According to a police report, the weapons were discovered during a search after 45-year-old Daniel Peristere allegedly made threatening comments toward police.

The Worcester Telegram (https://bit.ly/1OM6YPr ) reports that Peristere’s license to carry firearms was revoked last year following his arrest on a drunken driving charge.

Peristere’s lawyer said in court Wednesday that most of the weapons were antiques that his client collected, and that Peristere had believed his license to carry was still active.

In addition to the guns, police say they also seized hundreds of rounds of ammunition.

A judge ordered the defendant held until his next court hearing on Tuesday.
