LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles police say a possibly gang-related shooting in Van Nuys has critically wounded a man.

Lt. Laurel Friedlander says the 24-year-old victim was standing on Saticoy Street around 10 p.m. Tuesday when three males walked up to him and one began shooting.

Friedlander tells City News Service the man was shot multiple times and was taken to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills in critical condition.

She says the three assailants ran away.
