COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - New South Carolina coach Will Muschamp has added several more people to his staff.

The Gamecocks said in a news release Wednesday that Bryan McClendon will be South Carolina’s co-offensive coordinator. McClendon is currently the interim coach at Georgia after Mark Richt left and coaches the wide receivers for the Bulldogs.

Muschamp has hired Pat Washington to coach tight ends. He is a longtime assistant at several Southeastern Conference schools and has been the receivers coach at Missouri since 2013.

South Carolina also retained Jamie Speronis as director of football operations. Speronis has had that title under Steve Spurrier since Spurrier’s days coaching Florida.

Spurrier resigned as South Carolina’s coach about halfway through this past season.
