PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Rhode Island Gov. Gina Raimondo said she will reveal the most likely locations for proposed new truck tolls, lifting a major political obstacle stalling her plan to raise money to fix the state’s highway bridges.

Raimondo tells The Providence Journal (https://bit.ly/1IoRHYj ) she is willing to share preliminary information on where each toll gantry should be located and how much money each would make for the state.

State lawmakers have been calling on Raimondo to provide more detailed information before they hold public hearings and deliberate on the toll proposal. She said the information is preliminary and the Federal Highway Administration must sign off on gantry locations.

She also said a recent transportation funding bill passed by Congress could help the state pay for the bridge repair and lower tolls.
