WOODSTOCK, Ohio (AP) - A sheriff’s office says a 16-year-old boy has died in a mobile home fire that injured four others, including two sheriff’s deputies in western Ohio.

A Champaign County sheriff’s statement says Jordan Edley died in the fire Wednesday in Woodstock. Sheriff’s officials say the teen’s mother and 12-year-old brother and two deputies who tried to rescue him were treated for smoke inhalation.

Deputies discovered the fire while patrolling the village at around 1 a.m. Sheriff’s officials say the woman and younger boy had gotten out of the burning trailer but were trying to re-enter, telling deputies the teen was still inside.

The deputies then entered the trailer but were forced out by the heat and flames.

Authorities haven’t said what caused the fire.
