ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. (AP) - Authorities in northeast Florida say they’re searching for the man who stole a Christmas tree from an animal shelter.

The Florida Times-Union (https://goo.gl/fUxhgb ) reports that an arrest warrant was issued Tuesday for 51-year-old George Glenn Cockhren on burglary and petty theft charges.

The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office reports that surveillance video shows a man stealing a donated boxed Christmas tree Nov. 25 from outside the S.A.F.E. Pet Rescue shelter in St. Augustine.

Investigators say they learned the man’s identity after releasing images on social media.
