FARMINGTON, N.M. (AP) - One motorist was killed after icy conditions along U.S. Highway 550 in northwestern New Mexico contributed to multiple accidents.

The Farmington Daily Times reports (https://bit.ly/1U6Zp9X ) that the New Mexico Department of Transportation said in an advisory that the highway was snow packed and icy south of Bloomfield on Wednesday. Intermittent snow and windy conditions also caused limited visibility on the roadway.

The San Juan County Communications Authority received reports of two vehicle rollovers and a crash between a tractor-trailer and a car. The driver of the car was killed and a passenger was injured. The driver of the trailer was also injured in the crash.
