BLOOMFIELD, N.M. (AP) - Authorities say an Idaho man has been killed in a car accident in New Mexico.

New Mexico State Police on Thursday identified the victim as 25-year-old Steven Marrow of Boise.

Police say they responded to the scene of the crash Wednesday afternoon on U.S. 550 south of Bloomfield.

They say the roadway was ice covered at the time of the accident.

Investigators say Marrow lost control of the vehicle and it crossed the median, entered the northbound lanes, and was struck by a commercial vehicle.

Marrow was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say a 27-year-old female passenger in Marrow’s car remains in critical condition at San Juan Regional Medical Center.

The driver of the commercial vehicle was treated and released from a hospital.
