CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - A Casper man has been sentenced to up to 20 years in prison for sexually abusing a girl over a six-year period.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1kiy6x1) that 25-year-old Carroll Michael Chiasson was sentenced Wednesday to 15 to 20 years in prison. He previously pleaded guilty in Natrona County District Court to first-degree sexual abuse of a minor.

According to court documents, Chiasson assaulted the girl while he was living with her family. The abuse began when she was 6 or 7 years old and continued until she was 11 or 12. She reported the abuse when she was 16.
