RENO, Nev. (AP) - A couple is suing Reno Provisions, claiming that a dessert made at the restaurant gave one of them an E. coli infection.

KRNV-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1Mycy66 ) that the product liability case was filed in Washoe County District Court on Wednesday. It says Jessica Jameson was infected with E. coli when she ate a contaminated dessert served at The Twisted Fork and that she hasn’t recovered.

In the complaint, Jameson and her husband say the food was “unreasonably dangerous and unsafe.”

The suit asks for more than $10,000 in damages, medical expenses, compensation for pain and suffering and a loss of earnings. It also requests a finding that the restaurant was negligent.

A public relations firm representing Reno Provisions said Wednesday that it hasn’t had time to review the suit.
