NEW BROCKTON, Ala. (AP) - Authorities say an Enterprise man wanted in connection with the shooting death of a Dothan man has been arrested.

Coffee County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy R.W. Whitworth tells media outlets that 33-year-old Joshua Mark Richard was arrested Wednesday and is charged with murder in the death of 26-year-old Joey Lee Chandler.

Police say Chandler was found shot to death in a vehicle at the Coffee County Stock Yard in New Brockton. Chandler was originally from Enterprise, but had been living in Dothan prior to his death.

Whitworth says the Tuesday afternoon shooting appears to have been the result of a drug deal gone wrong.

It isn’t clear whether Richard has an attorney.
