CORALVILLE, Iowa (AP) - Officials say an Iowa inmate has died of natural causes linked to pneumonia.

The state Department of Corrections says 76-year-old John William Wilson died Wednesday. Wilson, assigned to the infirmary medical care unit at the Iowa Medical and Classification Center in Coralville, died of natural causes due to complications from pneumonia.

Wilson was serving a life sentence for two counts of first-degree murder. His sentence began in 1983.
