LAUREL, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police say a Pennsylvania man and a Maryland man were killed in a two-car crash in Laurel.

Police identified the men in a news release early Thursday as 42-year-old Robert Truitt of Downingtown, Pennsylvania, and 28-year-old Dewit Teferi of Ocean City, Maryland.

The crash happened on U.S. 13 on Wednesday morning, when police say a Ford Taurus crossed the grass median on southbound lanes, where it was hit by a Scion TC. Police say Teferi, a passenger in the Taurus, died at the scene and Truitt, the Scion driver, died at a hospital.

Police say the driver of the Taurus, 31-year-old Nour-Eddine Baassiri of Salisbury, Maryland, was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening.

The crash is under investigation.
