BAKER CITY, Ore. (AP) - A man has been arrested after police say he injured a state trooper while fleeing and crashed his car near Baker City.

Oregon State Police say 26-year-old Anthony Joseph Yattaw was driving more than 100 miles per hour on eastbound Interstate 84 when police pulled him over Wednesday afternoon.

He reportedly stopped briefly but sped off, dragging and throwing a trooper to the ground as he fled.

Other troopers tried to catch him but stopped pursuit because Yattaw was driving recklessly.

Police say Yattaw was arrested after crashing into two pickup trucks a short time later. He fled that scene but police say they were able to take him into custody in a nearby parking lot.

Police say the trooper and one of the pickup drivers sustained minor injuries.
