RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - Police say a man walking in a neighborhood south of downtown Rapid City was beat up, robbed and stripped of his clothes after accepting a ride.

The Rapid City Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1mBJrdq ) that it happened late Monday morning.

Police say officers were called to a home where the naked man sought help and was provided clothes.

The man told officers that three men had offered him a ride, then beat him up, stole his wallet, cellphone and clothes, and kicked him out of the car.

Police say officers drove to the area of the robbery and found the man’s clothes strewn in the middle of a street.

Police returned the borrowed clothes after giving the man a ride home.
