LAS VEGAS (AP) - A man is dead and police are looking for his assailant after an argument led to gunfire in an apartment complex several miles east of downtown Las Vegas.

Police say the shooting happened a little before 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at a residential complex on East Charleston Boulevard not far from the U.S. 95 freeway.

The name of the man who died wasn’t immediately made public.

Police say the shooter was gone when officers arrived, and a motive for the shooting wasn’t immediately known.

The slaying is the 131st investigated by Las Vegas police in 2015.
