UTICA, N.Y. (AP) - An upstate New York woman has been arrested on a murder charge after authorities say she ran over a teenager with her car, killing him.

Police in Utica say 23-year-old Sarah Buswell of Holland Patent was arrested after the Thursday afternoon incident that killed 18-year-old Ammar Williams.

Authorities say Williams had been running away from Buswell when she drove into a fence he was trying to climb. Williams, of Utica, was run over by the car and died at the scene.

Police did not provide information about the circumstances leading up to the chase or say whether the two knew one another.

Buswell remained jailed Friday and couldn’t be reached for comment. It was not immediately clear whether she had an attorney who could comment on the allegations.
