ESCANABA, Mich. (AP) - An open house is scheduled at the Sand Point Lighthouse in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

The Daily Press of Escanaba (https://bit.ly/1Pmpx1l ) reports that visitors can tour the lighthouse along Lake Michigan and the Delta County Historical Society Museum Saturday and Sunday.

Admission is free to the annual Lighthouse Open House. The buildings typically are closed during the winter.

Delta County Historical Society archives committee member Karen Lindquist says about 1,000 people attended the open house last year.
