ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Albuquerque police say three people, including a small child, narrowly escaped injury after their vehicle was shot at in an apparent incident of road rage.

Officer Simon Drobik says the shooting happened Friday afternoon.

Drobik says shots were fired from an unknown vehicle at the victims’ car.

He says at least two bullets were deflected by the vehicle’s frame and nobody was injured.

The occupants in the car included a man, a woman and a child in a rear car seat.

Investigators have gathered evidence from the scene but there is no information about a possible suspect.

A 4-year-old Albuquerque girl was killed during a road rage dispute on Interstate 40 in October.

Authorities say a gunman opened fire on the pickup truck being driven by the girl’s father.
