WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - A fire tore through a Kirkwood home, destroying the structure and causing roughly $100,000 in damage.

The Wilmington News-Journal reports (https://delonline.us/1JAGBdz ) that emergency crews responded to the 1900 block of Old Kirkwood Road near Red Lion Road just after 3 a.m. on Saturday for reports of a fire.

The fire ignited in a one-story home that was unoccupied at the time of the blaze. No injuries were reported.

State investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
