LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles authorities say two people have been killed in a fiery collision in Hollywood.

A Chevrolet Camaro broadsided a Metropolitan Transportation Authority van around 2 a.m. Monday near Hollywood Boulevard and Gower Street, engulfing the van in flames.

KABC-TV (https://bit.ly/1PsqmDN ) reports a Metro custodian in the van died at the scene and the male driver of the Camaro was taken to a hospital where he died.

Police say the Camaro was pulled over a short time earlier to investigate a female passenger and when she stepped out the driver took off. There was no pursuit.
