HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - The U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville had to be evacuated after a fire broke out in one of its buildings.

The Center said in a Facebook post that the fire occurred Friday afternoon in a periphery older building that had not been used for several years. Media outlets report a visitor saw the fire, pulled an alarm and notified Huntsville Fire and Rescue. Guests at the center were evacuated due to the fire’s proximity to the main museum, but no other buildings were damaged.

The museum has resumed operations.
