Driver, 85, dies after his Tesla crashes into swimming pool

HOUSTON (AP) - Houston police say an 85-year-old man has died after his luxury car accelerated through a garage, crashed through a wall and plunged into a swimming pool at the home next door.

A woman in the car managed to get out. Police say the driver of the Tesla could not. He was pronounced dead at a hospital after the Sunday afternoon crash. His name hasn’t been released.

Ann Bolton, the sister of the woman who survived, tells Houston television station KPRC (https://bit.ly/1mJnbOI) she believes the driver may have mistakenly hit the gas pedal instead of the brake.
