AUBURN, Mass. (AP) - A Massachusetts man who used his fist to smash the windshield of a luxury electric car during a road rage incident over the weekend is apologizing and offering to pay for the damage.

Police say the pickup truck driver from Charlton and a man driving a Tesla with two children inside got into a dispute near the Auburn Mall on Saturday afternoon.

The truck driver got out of his vehicle, and punched the Tesla’s windshield.

He took off, but was tracked down because the Tesla driver took a picture.

Auburn police Detective Sgt. Richard Mills tells the Boston Herald (https://bit.ly/1QWujUs) the pickup driver told police he was having a bad day, made a mistake, and offered to pay.

His name was not released because he has not been criminally charged.
