BAKER CITY, Ore. (AP) - An Oregon search and rescue team found the body of an 87-year-old woman reported missing on Christmas day.

The Baker City Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1Jcc1Mv ) that Joanne Beverly Brown’s body was found on a hillside above her home in Baker City. Police Chief Wyn Lohner says there is no indication that foul play was involved.

Lohner says the family members told police Brown had not been seen since around Dec. 7-9 and that the woman frequently hiked the hillside to make sure her horses had water.

Search and rescue team coordinator Chris Galiszewski says Brown’s body was found about 80 yards south of the home, near her horse corrals. He says snow obscured her tracks.

Galiszewski says the woman owned at least two horses, which were found alive.
