ELKLAND, Mo. (AP) - Authorities have identified a man who drowned in southwest Missouri’s Dallas County when his vehicle was swept away in floodwaters.

Dallas County Coroner Lamont Swanson identified the victim as 48-year-old Michael Berry, of Elkland. His vehicle was swept away Saturday night as he was crossing a low-water bridge on a country road near Elkland. Swanson says his body was recovered Sunday.

No one else was in the vehicle with Berry. He was among at least 10 people to die in the storm. Crews are searching in three other Missouri counties for missing people.
