SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - The 35-foot artificial Christmas tree on display in a California town has been destroyed by fire.
The Sacramento Bee reports (https://bit.ly/1JGOn5P ) that Stockton city manager’s office spokeswoman Connie Cochran says the tree has been installed downtown each holiday season for about a decade.
The fire was reported just before 2 a.m. Monday. Cochran says fire officials think it may have been caused by an electric malfunction.
The fire started near the top of the tree
