PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police in Philadelphia are searching for a man who they say is wanted in a series of robberies at bus stops in the city.

WPVI-TV reports (https://6abc.cm/1NTHQ9q) that there have been nine armed robberies reported since Dec. 6 in the city’s West Oak Lane neighborhood. All but one of the victims are women.

Lt. John Stanford says the gunman appears to be targeting women that are by themselves at bus stops early in the morning. He says the suspect has been targeting victims’ cellphones.

The latest incident happened at 8:35 a.m. Monday at a bus stop. Police say a woman was robbed of her cellphone at gunpoint while waiting for the bus.
