SOUTHAMPTON, N.Y. (AP) - The medical examiner has positively identified the body of a woman found hanged in a wooded area of Long Island last month.

Authorities on Wednesday identified her as Lilia Aucapina, a native of Ecuador and mother of two, who was reported missing Oct. 10.

Newsday (https://nwsdy.li/1IqKvKP ) reports that the Suffolk County medical examiner confirmed her identity from dental records and determined her death was noncriminal.

She was discovered on Nov. 21 in a wooded area of Sagaponack, not far from her home.

Police say she was last seen walking in Wainscott on Oct. 10 following a confrontation with her brother and estranged husband in the parking lot of a medical office.
