STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) - A Texas university administrator has been named administrative director and head of Mississippi State University’s campus in Meridian.

The university, in a news release Tuesday, said Terry Dale Cruse will be responsible for managing more than 500 students and 90 faculty and staff members. His employment is pending formal approval from the Board of Trustees of Mississippi State Institutions of Higher Learning.

Cruse has spent the past two years as vice president for enrollment services at LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas. His previous experience includes oversight of the offices of residential campus admissions, student financial aid, registrar, global initiatives, student achievement and retention, and career services. He also managed dual credit, marketing initiatives, and recruitment of adult, graduate and online students.
