SAUCIER, Miss. (AP) - A 32-year-old woman who escaped from a Flowood community work center last week has been arrested in Saucier.

The Sun Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1QfFW76) Harrison County deputies arrested 32-year-old Rebecca Nicole Pennington, of Wiggins, on Tuesday.

Pennington faces a felony probation violation charge for escaping the custody of the state Department of Corrections, and misdemeanor resisting arrest.

Lt. Coley Judy said Pennington and another prisoner, Merry Kay Anderson, escaped the Flowood Restitution Center while they were being taken to a job interview. They were part of MDOC’s work-release program.

Anderson remains at large.
