SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - Investigators in Spokane have completed their study of the shooting of a man by Spokane police officers in October.

The Spokane Investigative Regional Response Team examined the Oct. 12 shooting of 36-year-old Jason M. Smith at a Spokane residence.

Their findings have been forwarded to the Spokane County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

Smith is accused of intentionally ramming into two police cars while refusing to follow commands as he drove toward the responding officers. Three Spokane police officers fired their pistols, striking Smith.

The investigative team says Smith was wounded and is still recovering from his injuries, so he was not interviewed.
