BLACKSBURG, Va. (AP) - Justin Fuente will keep Virginia Tech secondary coach Torrian Gray and defensive line coach Charley Wiles on his Hokies’ staff.

The school said in a release that Gray and Wiles are the fourth and fifth assistants hired by Fuente, joining holdover defensive coordinator Bud Foster from Frank Beamer’s staff, and James Shibest and Holman Wiggins, who were on Fuente’s staff at Memphis.

Gray played at Virginia Tech from 1992-96 and has been on the coaching staff since 2006. The Hokies have finished in the top 15 nationally in pass efficiency defense in eight of his 10 seasons.

Wiles joined Beamer’s staff in 1996. The Hokies have finished in the top 15 nationally in rushing defense nine times in his 20-year tenure
