JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) - A 19-year-old Juneau man is being held on suspicion of first-degree murder and attempted murder in the stabbing of two men.

Juneau police say the arrest was made in the Thursday morning death of 37-year-old Jordon Sharclane and the assault of 19-year-old Michael Sharclane. The Juneau Empire identified the victims as father and son.

Formal charges had not been filed early Thursday afternoon. Police say the suspect will also be charged with felony assault and evidence tampering.

The suspect is being held without bail.

Police just before 4 a.m. Thursday took a 911 call of a stabbing at a Douglas Island home.

Police say a dispute over property led to a knife fight.

The elder Sharclane was dead when police arrived. Investigators described his son’s injuries as serious.
