DILLON, Mont. (AP) - A Dewey man accused in a fatal hit-and-run on Interstate 15 near Dillon has pleaded not guilty.

The Montana Standard reports (https://bit.ly/1NJqrWj ) that 49-year-old Donald G. Welborn on Tuesday pleaded not guilty to a number of felony charges including vehicular homicide while under the influence.

Welborn is charged with striking 32-year-old Mary Elizabeth Merino of Divide at about 2:10 a.m. on Oct. 28.

He is also charged with criminal possession of dangerous drugs and failure to give information and render aid, both felonies, and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia, reckless driving, no insurance and driving with a suspended or revoked license, all misdemeanors.
