TULALIP, Wash. (AP) - Snohomish County sheriff’s officials say the 21-year-old driver who took his truck over a concrete barrier and into a pond in Tulalip, killing four, was drunk at the time of the crash.

The Everett Daily Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1SA0TJl ) that the August 18 crash killed driver Tyson Walker and three passengers: 22-year-old Dylan Monger, of Tulalip, 15-year-old Ariela Vendiola and 16-year-old Lynnishia Larson, both of Marysville.

The 1997 Dodge Ram went over a concrete barrier before tipping into a pond. Police say while it was sinking, the truck became enmeshed in salmon netting.

After the crash police would not say who was driving the truck. The Daily Herald obtained that information through a public records request.
