SIOUX CITY, Iowa (AP) - Recent snowstorms have blown in a lot of business for some Iowa stores.

The Sioux City Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1IFK7mx ) that stores are seeing a flurry of customers who want to buy new tires for their vehicles and snow blowers.

Managers at Square Tire stores in Sioux City say the pace of business hasn’t slowed since the first major storm hit the area on Nov. 20.

Lisa Nordstrom, a manager at a Bomgaars retail store in Sioux City, says many customers have bought sand tubes to place in the back of vehicles to make them heavier and less likely to slide on ice. She says many customers have also bought ice melt and shovels.
