FLORENCE, Ariz. (AP) - Pinal County authorities say a San Tan Valley man is facing more than 25 theft-related charges in a recent crime spree.

County sheriff’s officials say 18-year-old Rojelio Armenta was arrested Monday after a deputy spotted him driving a car that had been reported stolen.

He was eventually arrested and deputies say stolen credit cards and a wallet were found in the vehicle.

When Armenta was questioned, they say he allegedly admitted to have stolen 25 cars including six in Pinal County.

Sheriff’s officials say Armenta has been linked to an armed robbery in San Tan Valley plus several burglaries, thefts and credit card frauds in San Tan Valley and Gilbert.

They say more charges against Armenta are expected to be filed soon.

It’s unclear if he has a lawyer yet.
